Ken Henderson is a concept illustrator and Senior Instructor in the Concept Animation Program at Vancouver Film School. He has worked for the world’s top production studios including LucasArts, Mainframe/Rainmaker, DHX Media, and Atomic Cartoons as an Art Director and Art Manager, leading and hiring teams of artists creating animated television shows and films. At VFS, he heads the Concept Animation Program, guiding hundreds of students in developing their skills to prepare for careers in the Visual Effects and video game industries. Ken is an honours graduate of the University of Victoria. His work as a portfolio mentor spans more than a decade, gaining a reputation for knowing what makes a student’s portfolio stand out to prospective universities, art schools, and employers.
